The ugly swan

        A mother swan was on her  nest. Six eggs were in her nest. The first egg opened. A pretty white swan looked out. Four eggs opened.  Five  pretty  white swans were in the nest. The sixth egg opened. It was not a pretty white swan. It was an ugly yellow swan.

       The pretty white swans laughed at the ugly swan. The ugly swan was sad. The ugly swan walked next to the river. Two beautiful yellow birds landed on the water.

The weather was cold. Ice was on the river. A man picked up the swan. “come home with me ,” he said.

       The man’s children liked the swan. They clapped their hands and shouted.

        The swan was scared. He jumped out of the window.

        He stayed next to the bridge. One day it was warm again. Two swans landed on the river.

       “You are  beautiful,” said the ugly swan. “You are  beautiful, too” said the birds. “You are a bird.”

       The ugly swan looked down. “It’s true,” he said. “I am a beautiful bird. Now I am happy.”

  

In the jungle

Teo and her sister Mare were in the jungle for  seven days. This is teo’s dairy.

The first day

          We  walked next to a river. There were beautiful flowers in the trees. There were parrots, too.

The second day

          We  climbed a hill today. There was a big monkey in a tall tree. It watched us quietly. There were  lots of  small beautiful tigers too. Next we walked down the hill.

The third day

          First we  walked up a hill. There were lots of  tall green trees. We climbed quickly up a tree.  There was a pool  next  to a tree. There was a tiny frog in it.

The fourth day

          There was a big elephant  next to our tent this morning. It  was so beautiful. There was

river. There were three crocodiles next to rhe river. They were horrible. We watched  a huge spider too.

The fifth day

          We walked in the  wood. It was a good day in the jungle. There  were  beautiful  pandas in the trees. There were lions, too.

The sixth day

           The jungle was very noisy. This evening listened to the birds and the monkeys. It was very dark. We were so happy.

The seventh day

          We walked next to a beach. It was a good day. There were fish in the sea. We liked flowers. We wached the animals. We watched the snakes, too. This was a little island. It’s name was “Green Star”.  We were tired but we were happy, too. The jungle was very exciting!
